Our Credentials
Julie Sacchetti is a Certified Irlen Screener through the Irlen Institute. She holds an M.S. degree. Julie is a School Social Worker, Family Support Specialist and Parent Educator. She leads a weekly parenting group called "Talking Parenting with Julie Sacchetti" at the Bourne Public Library. Call Julie at 508-776-3536 for more information.
Tracy Bowman is a Certified Para-Professional and is dedicated to educating parents, students, teachers and schools about Irlen Syndrome. Her daughter was found to have Irlen Syndrome in 2007. At the time, Tracy had not heard of it, but as she read about Irlen Syndrome, felt that she was reading about herself for she had great difficulties in school as well. Now both mother and daughter have tinted lenses (although different colors) and have noticed dramatic improvements in their lives.
Our Goals
Tracy and Julie founded the Irlen Connection to help one person at a time. They are working hard on lobbying the Massachusetts legislature to include screening for Irlen Syndrome in the schools through passage of House Bill 539. Tracy and Julie spoke at a hearing at the State House regarding the bill.
